LDN 1235 - Dunkelnebel im Kepheus, Session from 15.09.2017 - 14.10.2017

I've had the shark nebula LDN 1235 on my list for a long time now and since it worked so well with the Epsilon at vdB 9, it should start now. Unfortunately, due to the weather it developed into a 4-week project, but was successfully completed in mid-October.

The colour was very problematic, as it was very humid and partly hazy on the two October nights. Gradients over gradients and then halos around the bright stars were the result. In addition, the image field did not fit exactly on top of each other after a break of 4 weeks between luminance and color. Well... problems are there to be solved, which I was able to do quite well thanks to image processing. The Halos would occupy me even longer, as it turned out in the follow-up object a few nights later.

Finished luminance after the first night:

The finished picture will look like this...
